Bulgaria's victory in the 2026 contest has shifted focus to its hosting duties for 2027, with the host city bidding process underway among Burgas, Plovdiv, Sofia, and Varna. Early confirmations from core participants including Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, and Switzerland—plus North Macedonia's return—have shaped initial trader views on participation markets. Broadcasters must submit formal entries by mid-October 2026, while several nations like Switzerland have opened song submissions and internal selections. These steady commitments from established EBU members, alongside limited speculation around potential debuts or withdrawals, underpin current market-implied odds ahead of fuller announcements.
