Vincent Keymer holds the strongest position among traders due to his consistent high-level results and solid start in the ongoing 10-player classical round-robin. The German grandmaster enters as one of the higher-rated participants and recently captured the Grenke Freestyle Open on tiebreaks, demonstrating sharp calculation and resilience under pressure. Early rounds in Bucharest have seen multiple players including Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave notch wins, keeping the standings tight among a group of contenders with similar Elo profiles. Jorden van Foreest, Anish Giri, and Fabiano Caruana remain competitive based on historical strength and head-to-head records against this elite field, while lower probabilities for Alireza Firouzja and the Romanian wildcard reflect slower recent form and rating gaps.
