Carlos Alcaraz captured the 2026 Australian Open men's singles title in February by defeating Novak Djokovic in the final, completing a career Grand Slam at age 22 and extending his lead in major titles. This outcome aligned with the market's overwhelming consensus, reflecting the Spaniard's superior recent form, hard-court mastery, and consistent results across the 2025-2026 season that left little room for other contenders. Grigor Dimitrov's minimal implied probability stems from his limited success in Grand Slam draws and inability to sustain momentum against top-ranked players. While pre-tournament factors such as an unexpected withdrawal or major injury could have altered paths, Alcaraz's on-court execution in Melbourne locked in the result with no remaining variables to shift probabilities.
