George Pickens signed his franchise tag tender with the Dallas Cowboys on April 29, locking him into a fully guaranteed $27.3 million contract for the 2026 NFL season and positioning Dallas as trader consensus favorite at 50.5%, yet probabilities remain tightly bunched atop the market due to the Cowboys' firm refusal to pursue a long-term extension—announced by EVP Stephen Jones on April 22—and reiterated lack of trade discussions as of May 5. Persistent offseason buzz, including Pickens reportedly seeking a deal during the 2026 NFL Draft and former Steelers CB Joe Haden's May 11 warning of a potential messy holdout, fuels speculation of pre-training camp movement to WR-needy contenders like the Eagles (49.3%), Dolphins (49.3%), Falcons (48.9%), and Saints (48.4%), all boasting stable quarterback situations and cap flexibility amid roster upgrades. Pittsburgh sits low at 8.5% post-2025 trade, underscoring the wide-open dynamics driven by Pickens' All-Pro production and expiring deal.
