The tightly bunched implied probabilities reflect the exceptional depth of the 10-player field for the upcoming Super Rapid and Blitz Croatia. Anish Giri edges the consensus on the strength of his consistent rapid results and recent victories over key rivals like Alireza Firouzja, while Nodirbek Abdusattorov and Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu sit close behind thanks to their proven blitz speed and strong showings in prior Grand Chess Tour legs. Reigning world champion Gukesh Dommaraju, competing as a wildcard after scaling back his full schedule, adds further uncertainty alongside Vincent Keymer and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, whose ratings and head-to-head records in fast time controls keep the race open. This parity among elite grandmasters with comparable recent form explains why no single contender has pulled clear.
