This market will resolve according to the listed song which holds the No.1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for the greatest number of weeks in the summer of 2026. For the purposes of this market, only Billboard Hot 100 charts with date labels for weeks in June, July, and August of 2026 will be considered. If more than one song is tied for greatest number of weeks in the No. 1 spot, this market will resolve in favor of the song whose title comes first in alphabetical order. Weeks in the No. 1 spot need not be consecutive. If the resolution source for this market becomes permanently unavailable, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be the official Billboard Hot 100 charts, published on the Billboard website (https://www.billboard.com/charts/hot-100/).With numerous options trading near equal levels in the 2026 Song of the Summer market, traders see a fragmented race defined by strong but scattered streaming momentum and playlist placements rather than any single breakout. Spotify’s May predictions elevated tracks like Zara Larsson’s “Midnight Sun” and Ariana Grande’s “hate that i made you love me” alongside dance and country crossovers, yet chart trajectories through early August show steady but non-dominant performance across platforms, with no track achieving the inescapable cultural saturation typical of past winners. Late-summer factors such as festival rotations, remix drops, and viral TikTok challenges could still shift sentiment before Labor Day lock-in, keeping implied probabilities fluid amid competition from emerging releases and genre-blending contenders.
