Real Madrid leads the runner-up market at 56.5% implied probability due to their reinforced squad and Jose Mourinho’s return for a second stint at the Bernabeu, positioning them as the primary challengers to defending champions Barcelona after the latter’s back-to-back titles. Barcelona sits at 31.5% following strong recent domestic dominance and high-profile additions including Anthony Gordon and Rodri, though models project them as title favorites with a realistic chance of repeating. Atlético Madrid at 11.0% reflects their consistent top-four pedigree but limited upside against the two giants. The 2026-27 campaign opens late for the big three after the World Cup break, with early fixtures and summer transfers shaping expectations around squad depth, managerial stability, and historical title-race patterns between the Madrid and Catalan sides.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of LaLiga for the 2026-27 season per the rules of LaLiga (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the LaLiga; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
