Jan Choinski holds the edge in this Roland Garros qualifying opener on clay, entering with a higher ATP ranking near 104-122 and stronger recent form on the surface. The German-British player has secured multiple Challenger titles and strong results on clay this year, including a recent Zagreb final, demonstrating reliable baseline consistency and movement suited to slow courts. Andres Andrade, ranked around 210-215, brings solid clay-court experience from recent Challenger runs but arrives after a straight-sets loss in Zagreb and fewer high-level wins. With no prior head-to-head meetings, the matchup favors Choinski’s proven adaptability in best-of-three sets, though Andrade’s aggressive style could create opportunities if Choinski struggles with early rhythm.
