In the ATP Challenger Bordeaux round of 16 on clay, eighth seed Raphael Collignon enters with momentum from his dominant 6-2, 6-1 first-round win over qualifier Geoffrey Blancaneaux on May 13, bolstered by a recent Monza Challenger title run including straight-set victories over Luca Van Assche and Dino Prizmic. The French world No. 68 holds a 1-0 head-to-head edge over Alexander Shevchenko, prevailing 7-5, 6-4 in Brisbane qualifying in January on hard. Shevchenko, ranked around 85 with a 17-17 YTD mark, grinded past alternate Hugo Gaston 6-1, 3-6, 6-1 in the opener but carries mixed clay form from early exits in Rome, Madrid, and Monte Carlo. Home crowd support and Collignon's clay surge give traders key edges to weigh in this evenly poised matchup.
