Hugo Dellien enters this French Open qualifying opener on clay with a clear edge rooted in his established ATP ranking near 139 and proven track record on the surface, including multiple deep runs at Roland Garros in prior years. The Bolivian has shown solid recent form in Challenger and qualifying events this spring, leveraging his compact baseline game and endurance suited to the slow, high-bouncing conditions at Court 14. Sean Cuenin, ranked outside the top 370, arrives with limited main-tour exposure and a mixed record in recent ITF and Challenger clay matches, often facing tougher transitions against higher-caliber opponents. No significant injuries or withdrawals have been reported for either player, keeping the focus on Dellien’s experience advantage in a first-time meeting.
