Luka Pavlovic and Harry Wendelken meet in the first round of Roland Garros qualifying on clay, where the taller French player’s reach and baseline power could prove decisive against the shorter British opponent in extended rallies. Pavlovic enters with a career-high ranking of 184 and recent Challenger experience, while Wendelken holds a slightly better current mark near 228 after steady progress on the tour. Neither player has faced the other previously, and both arrive off recent losses in European events, leaving limited momentum data. The red-clay surface and Parisian conditions favor consistent movement and heavy topspin, areas where Pavlovic’s physical profile may give him a slight edge in what shapes up as a tightly matched opening encounter.
