Note: This market will resolve based on the most numerically precise version of the specified metric reported in the company's official earnings materials. Only the specified metric will be considered; alternate versions that differ in definition or scope from the specified metric will not be considered.Trader sentiment on Deere's Q2 Production & Precision Agriculture (PPA) operating margin reflects tight contestation, with market-implied odds clustered around 16%–18% (49.5%) versus <16% (40.0%) and 18%–20% (39.5%), driven by anticipation of the May 21 earnings release amid a protracted North American large ag equipment downturn. Q1 FY2026 delivered PPA net sales up 3% to $3.163 billion but operating profit plunged to $139 million (4.4% margin) on lower shipment volumes and unfavorable sales mix, prompting a FY2026 guidance raise to $4.5–$5 billion net income while forecasting PPA sales down 5%–10% yet double-digit margins via production ramps. Low commodity prices, subdued farm incomes, elevated dealer inventories, and a $1.2 billion tariff headwind cap upside, though Deere's precision ag software (e.g., See & Spray) and pricing power differentiate it from CNH and AGCO peers, hinging swing factors like Q2 volume execution and cost leverage for resolution.
