Official Met Office forecasts for London on September 22 project a maximum of 24°C under building high pressure, sunny intervals, and light winds, with afternoon peaks around that level and minimal rain risk. This aligns closely with the market’s leading 24°C outcome at 43% implied probability, reflecting consensus on stable anticyclonic conditions that favor modest warming above the September average high near 20°C. Slightly warmer model runs or localized urban heat effects support the 25°C share at 25%, while cooler 23°C scenarios account for any increased cloud cover. With resolution imminent, traders are weighting the latest observational trends and ensemble guidance heavily, as small shifts in steering or insolation could still adjust the final recorded high.
