The 19-year-old Guajardo, a UC Irvine college player, earned a wild card into the event following strong showings in local pro series tournaments, though his ITF main-draw experience remains limited. Lee, a 23-year-old American with a career-high ranking near 1211, brings more recent ITF exposure, including wins in qualifying and main-draw matches at nearby M15 events in Los Angeles and Lakewood. With no prior head-to-head history, the matchup highlights Lee's greater match toughness at this level against Guajardo's potential home-crowd advantage and recent form on hard courts.
