Both the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers enter the 2026 NFL season with significant roster and coaching transitions that level expectations for their two NFC West matchups. The Cardinals, coming off a 3-14 campaign, begin under new head coach Mike LaFleur after releasing longtime quarterback Kyler Murray, creating uncertainty at the position amid a tough schedule. The 49ers, despite adding veteran receiver Mike Evans and returning key contributors like Fred Warner, Nick Bosa, and George Kittle from prior injuries, face questions about maintaining their recent double-digit win pace. Traders view the series as evenly matched due to these variables, divisional familiarity, and the inherent variability of early-season form, supporting the balanced implied probabilities across outright and split outcomes.

If the Arizona Cardinals win the season series, this market will resolve to “Cardinals”. If the San Francisco 49ers win the season series, this market will resolve to “49ers”. If the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers tie the season series, this market will resolve to “tie”.
If any scheduled game between the listed teams during the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, not completed, or otherwise does not produce an official result — including due to a shortened, truncated, or early-ended season — the season series will be determined solely using official results of completed games. If the season is cancelled, no games between the teams are completed, or the result of the season series cannot otherwise be confirmed by January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve 50-50.
The primary resolution source for this market will be information from the NFL, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
