Tomas Martin Etcheverry holds a clear edge over Terence Atmane in their Hamburg European Open round-of-32 clash on clay, driven by his superior ranking at No. 26 compared to Atmane’s No. 51 and stronger recent results on the surface. Etcheverry demonstrated his clay-court baseline patience in a straight-sets win over the Frenchman earlier this spring, while Atmane’s best 2026 clay showing remains a third-round run in Madrid before falling to Alexander Zverev. The left-handed Atmane brings height and reach that could extend rallies, yet Etcheverry’s consistent form and experience in ATP 500 events position him as the stronger favorite according to current trader pricing. Weather and any last-minute injury updates remain the main variables that could influence the outcome on the Am Rothenbaum courts.
