Jan Choinski enters the Roland Garros qualifying round as the higher-ranked player at ATP 104, bringing recent clay-court momentum after a straight-sets win over Zsombor Piros in the Zagreb Challenger. The British right-hander, standing 6-foot-5, benefits from strong movement and baseline consistency suited to red clay, with multiple titles on the surface in the past year. Andres Andrade, ranked around 210, arrives with solid Challenger results including victories in Savannah and Zagreb but trails in overall experience and head-to-head context against more established opponents. The match on Court 9 pits Choinski’s superior ranking and recent form against Andrade’s aggressive style, with the winner advancing to the next qualifying stage. Surface conditions and both players’ fitness levels remain key variables in this best-of-three encounter.
