In the ATP Challenger Bengaluru 2 quarterfinals on hard courts, second-seeded Hamish Stewart (ATP 328) entered as the clear trader favorite over wildcard Kriish Tyagi (ATP 1322) due to his higher ranking, recent Challenger form, and experience against qualifiers like Omar Jasika (6-4, 6-7, 6-3). The 19-year-old Indian Tyagi, riding home-crowd momentum in Bengaluru, notched straight-sets wins over Taiyo Yamanaka (6-2, 7-5) and Yuta Kawahashi (6-4, 6-4), showcasing resilient returning amid hot conditions. First head-to-head matchup favors Stewart's baseline consistency, though Tyagi's aggression and altitude familiarity add upset potential; no injury reports or withdrawals noted. Semifinal implications heighten stakes for both.
