Recent polling has positioned Democrat Mary Peltola ahead of Republican incumbent Dan Sullivan in the 2026 Alaska Senate race, with leads of five to seven points in surveys conducted through April. Peltola's record first-quarter fundraising haul of nearly $9 million has underscored strong donor interest in this contest viewed as relevant to Senate control, while Sullivan maintains a cash-on-hand edge from prior cycles. Both candidates have highlighted support for oil development in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska, alongside Peltola's emphasis on affordability measures amid voter economic concerns. Alaska's ranked-choice voting and August primary introduce additional variables that traders weigh against the current survey trends.
