Recent forecasts from multiple models, including those aligned with the South African Weather Service, indicate a maximum of 19–21°C in Cape Town on September 18 under clearing skies and moderate southeasterly winds following a cold front. This setup, with dry air and limited cloud cover, supports the market-implied 63.5% odds on 21°C and 28% on 22°C as the leading outcomes. Historical September averages near 18°C provide context, while current model consensus and the absence of significant warming factors like northerly flow keep probabilities concentrated in this narrow range. Updated runs from agencies such as the South African Weather Service or NOAA equivalents expected later today could refine these trader-assessed odds if any deviation emerges.
