Recent National Weather Service and GFS-based forecasts for Los Angeles on September 19 point to a high in the upper 70s to low 80s under mostly sunny skies, light southwest winds, and minimal marine layer influence, aligning with the market's heavy weighting toward 76-77°F (60%) and 78-79°F (32.5%). Stable high-pressure ridging and typical late-summer onshore flow have kept model consensus tight over the past 48 hours, with little spread in projected maximums at key stations like LAX. Historical September averages near 78-82°F further support this range, while the low probabilities assigned to 80°F+ outcomes reflect limited warming potential absent any offshore flow or heat advection. Updated model runs and official NHC/NOAA briefings tomorrow morning represent the key near-term data points that could refine these implied probabilities.
