Recent forecasts from the China Meteorological Administration and global models converge on a daytime high of 28–29°C for Shanghai on September 16 under mostly cloudy skies, light-to-moderate northeast winds, and minimal precipitation risk. This autumnal pattern, typical for mid-September when regional highs average near 28°C, has kept trader consensus firmly on 28°C (61.5% implied probability) with 29°C as the next most likely outcome. Stable steering flow and lack of strong solar heating or frontal passages have limited upside potential above 30°C, while model agreement reduces the chance of cooler readings near 27°C. Updated guidance ahead of peak heating hours will determine final resolution.
