Official National Weather Service observations from Chicago O'Hare recorded a minimum temperature of 67°F on September 15, 2026, driving the 95% market-implied probability for the 66-67°F bin. This reading occurred around 7:56 a.m. local time under partly cloudy conditions with light winds, consistent with late-summer patterns where overnight radiational cooling is moderated by urban heat island effects and regional southerly flow. Historical normals place the average low near 59°F, so the observed value reflects above-average warmth from recent high pressure and minimal frontal activity. While official station data typically resolves these markets, minor revisions from quality control or use of an alternate site could theoretically shift the outcome, though such adjustments remain rare for daily climate summaries.
