Current NOAA and NWS forecasts for New York City show a minimum temperature in the low 60s°F on September 7, driven by clearing skies after recent showers, light northwest winds, and favorable conditions for overnight radiational cooling under high pressure. This aligns with the market's tightest implied probabilities clustered in the 60-65°F bins, reflecting trader consensus on model consensus from guidance such as the GFS and NAM. Historical September averages near 64°F provide context, while minor uncertainties in dew points or boundary-layer mixing could shift the exact low by a degree or two. Updated NWS forecast discussions and next model runs later this weekend will offer the clearest near-term signals ahead of market resolution.
