Latest National Weather Service and model guidance point to mostly sunny conditions with light winds for San Francisco on September 7, supporting a daytime high near 75°F at official stations. Trader emphasis on the 78-81°F range reflects uncertainty around marine layer strength and potential for reduced onshore flow to allow greater warming, consistent with recent days trending slightly above the 70°F September average. Historical data show high variability on this date, with extremes reaching the low 90s under similar clear setups, while typical climatology favors mid-70s or lower when coastal stratus persists. No major forecast shifts have occurred in the past 48 hours, leaving resolution dependent on final afternoon observations.
