Anja Stankovic, the 21-year-old Serbian ranked near 530-560, faces 25-year-old Japanese player Ikumi Yamazaki, ranked around 494-640, in this ITF W50 clay-court match. Stankovic has compiled a strong local record on clay, capturing multiple W15 titles in Kursumlijska Banja and posting consistent results in recent W15 and W75 events there, including several wins in 2026. Yamazaki brings a W50+H clay title from 2025 and solid hard-court experience but shows mixed recent form across surfaces, with early exits in European qualifiers and Asian events leading into this tournament. The clay surface and home-country familiarity for Stankovic represent the primary edges in a matchup between similarly ranked players with limited prior head-to-head history.
