Both American players meet in the opening round of the ITF W35 Southaven on outdoor hard courts, with Kaitlyn Carnicella entering as the more experienced circuit regular and seeded entrant after a recent loss in the W35 Florence. Sena Yoon, a 17-year-old right-hander, brings junior pedigree but limited ITF match volume at this level. Surface familiarity and recent activity favor Carnicella, though Yoon’s age and athletic upside create realistic upset potential in a low-information matchup. No prior head-to-head exists, and home-country scheduling offers no clear edge for either. Trader consensus reflects Carnicella’s greater pro exposure while acknowledging the developmental nature of the contest.
