Chengyiyi Yuan holds a substantial edge in this first-round ITF W15 Tianjin 2 match on outdoor hard courts, driven by her WTA ranking near 499 and career-high of 480, compared to the unranked or lower-profile 18-year-old Ha Yoon Son. The 25-year-old Chinese player brings greater professional experience and recent activity in domestic ITF events, while Son, transitioning from junior competition, has shown qualifier success but limited main-draw depth. No prior head-to-head exists, though Yuan’s age, consistency on hard surfaces, and home-country scheduling position strengthen trader consensus around her advancement. Son’s youth offers upset potential in longer rallies, yet the ranking and experience gap defines the matchup.
