Incumbent Democrat Cisco Aguilar holds an 83.5% implied probability in the Nevada Secretary of State race, reflecting his strong position as the sitting official seeking a second term against Republican Jim Marchant at 11%. The rematch follows Aguilar’s narrow 2022 victory, and recent campaign finance reports show Aguilar with over $1 million on hand compared to Marchant’s near-zero balance after the June primary. Marchant secured the Republican nomination in a tight three-way contest but faces limited establishment backing and a general-election electorate that has favored Democrats in recent statewide contests. Minor-party candidates and “other” options register around 50% amid low expected vote shares. With the November 3 general election weeks away and no major late developments shifting the contest, trader consensus centers on Aguilar’s incumbency and resource advantages as the primary drivers of current pricing.
