Silver prices have consolidated near $65 per ounce in mid-August 2026, with recent sessions showing limited follow-through above $66 amid a narrow trading range. Market-implied odds reflect trader focus on real Treasury yields and the Federal Reserve’s policy stance under Chair Kevin Warsh, where elevated rates raise the opportunity cost of holding non-yielding assets and temper near-term momentum despite sticky inflation readings. Persistent global supply deficits, now in their sixth straight year and projected at a record 215 million ounces for 2026, alongside steady industrial demand from electronics and renewables, provide structural support. Traders are watching upcoming U.S. economic releases and any shifts in dollar strength or risk appetite for catalysts that could break the current consolidation.
