Jacob Fearnley enters the Newport Challenger round of 16 on grass as the clear market favorite against Stefan Kozlov, reflecting his higher ranking (No. 159 vs. No. 317), stronger recent results on the surface, and overall form. Fearnley reached the second round at Wimbledon 2026 after defeating Alex Michelsen and has posted competitive showings in prior grass Challengers, including Nottingham. Kozlov advanced via qualifying and notched a three-set win over Yibing Wu in the prior round but carries a lower career ceiling and limited recent grass success. The matchup favors Fearnley’s baseline consistency and movement on the fast surface, though Kozlov’s experience in extended rallies could create opportunities in longer sets. Trader consensus aligns with these factors for the immediate outcome.
