Latest Met Office guidance and numerical weather prediction consensus indicate daytime maxima of 24–26°C for London on September 3, driven by southwesterly flow, moderate cloud cover, and limited daytime heating. These conditions align with the market’s leading outcomes at 25°C (41% implied probability), 24°C (24%), and 26°C (22%), reflecting trader assessment of ensemble spreads and typical early-September variability around the 20–21°C climatological baseline. Light rain risk and wind speeds near 10–15 mph may temper peaks, while stable large-scale patterns since late August have kept forecast ranges narrow. Updated high-resolution model runs and official Met Office briefings over the next 48 hours remain the key variables that could shift these probabilities.
