Current ensemble forecasts project overnight lows of 9–12°C in Helsinki for September 3, near the 1991–2020 climatological average of 11.3°C, amid southwesterly flow, moderate winds, and scattered showers that limit radiative cooling. Model consensus from sources such as ECMWF and GFS shows modest downward revisions in recent runs due to increased cloud cover and Atlantic moisture, yet still leaves room for localized drops toward 8°C or below under clearer breaks. Trader positioning, with 8°C or below at 47.5% implied probability, reflects this forecast spread and the short time to resolution, while historical September extremes (record low 1.4°C) underscore the tail risk priced into lower bins. Updated model runs and official Finnish Meteorological Institute guidance over the next 48 hours will likely drive further adjustments.
