Urban heat-island effects and southerly flow off the Pacific further anchor nighttime readings around the 23 °C climatological average, while modest model spread in cloud cover and boundary-layer wind accounts for the tight clustering of market-implied odds between 21 °C and 24 °C. Updated short-range guidance and any late shifts in the subtropical ridge will be the next catalysts capable of moving the distribution.
