Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia” leads VMA Video of the Year trader sentiment at 65.5% implied probability, driven by her record five prior wins in the category, self-directed visual for a Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper, and strong fan-voting momentum ahead of the September 27 ceremony. Madonna’s “Confessions II – The Film” sits at 24.5% as a longer-form entry that echoes last year’s winner but faces historical precedent challenges despite her 11 total nominations. Sabrina Carpenter’s “Tears” at 11% and the remaining nominees—Bruno Mars, GENER8ION featuring Yung Lean, and Ariana Grande—trail with single-digit odds reflecting fewer precursor signals and lower chart dominance. With fan voting closing September 25, recent nomination announcements and ongoing social engagement continue to shape the tight final window.
