**72 Hours** has locked in overwhelming market-implied odds for the #2 global Netflix movie slot this week because its July 24 premiere generated 25.1 million views in its first full tracking period, far outpacing every other title. The Kevin Hart–Tim Story comedy’s broad appeal, raunchy bachelor-party premise, and strong promotional push created rapid audience momentum that pushed it to #1 on the official charts, with traders viewing any sustained second-place finish as highly probable given the current gap. Historical patterns show new star-driven originals often hold elevated positions for multiple weeks before dropping, though a late surge from a competitor like A Toxic Love Story could still produce an upset if viewing numbers shift sharply before the next chart lock.
