The 2026-27 Ligue 2 title market reflects a tightly bunched field, with a dozen-plus clubs clustered around similar implied probabilities. This parity stems from the division's typical balance at the campaign's start, where recently relegated Ligue 1 sides like Saint-Étienne, Montpellier, Nantes, and Reims bring greater squad depth and experience alongside ambitious Ligue 2 regulars such as Guingamp, Annecy, and Sochaux. Summer roster moves, coaching continuity, and pre-season results have not yet separated the pack, while factors like home/away splits, injury lists, and schedule strength remain too fluid to establish clear frontrunners. Historical trends in the French second tier show that momentum shifts rapidly once matches begin, keeping the race wide open.
