The closely bunched implied probabilities across nearly two dozen clubs reflect substantial pre-season uncertainty over which side will claim second place behind the expected title challengers in the 2026-27 Primeira Liga. Extensive summer transfer windows have reshaped squads at multiple teams, including key departures and arrivals at Sporting CP, while managerial changes at Benfica, Famalicão, and others have altered tactical approaches. Promoted sides such as Académico de Viseu and Marítimo add fresh variables, and the league's typical parity—driven by head-to-head variability, home/away splits, and schedule difficulty—keeps realistic paths to a top-two finish open for a wide group of clubs. Traders' consensus captures this even distribution of outcomes at the season's outset.

If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Primeira Liga; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
