Shakhtar Donetsk enters the 2026-27 Ukrainian Premier League as defending champions after a dominant 2025-26 campaign that delivered 72 points and a 12-point cushion over runners-up LNZ Cherkasy, underpinned by the league's strongest defense and consistent European experience. Traders assign the club an 83% implied probability of repeating due to superior squad depth, transfer activity, and historical title dominance in a league where financial and organizational advantages compound over a 30-match schedule. Early 2026-27 results show Shakhtar sharing the top spot with Polissya Zhytomyr after seven rounds, while mid-table sides such as Epitsentr Kamianets-Podilskyi, Metalist 1925 Kharkiv, and Kolos Kovalivka post modest probabilities reflecting limited resources and inconsistent prior finishes. Dynamo Kyiv's lower 7% odds align with their fourth-place finish last season and ongoing squad transitions, leaving Shakhtar with clear separation from the field absent major disruptions.
