Atlético Ottawa enter the September 5 Canadian Premier League fixture in strong position, sitting third in the standings with 33 points from 20 matches and riding a run of recent wins that includes a 4-0 home victory over Vancouver FC. New head coach Gustavo Leal has stabilized the side since his July appointment, while Pacific FC remain rooted to the bottom with just eight points from 18 games and only one victory all season. Ottawa boast a dominant head-to-head record against the Tridents and benefit from superior home form at TD Place. Pacific continue to concede heavily and have yet to string consistent results despite recent coaching adjustments. Late roster additions and injury absences, including Ottawa’s long-term absence of Richie Ennin, add minor variables, but the matchup favors the hosts on current form and league position.
