**Alter Ego holds a clearer edge entering their MPL Indonesia Season 18 Regular Season BO3 against Geek Fam ID on September 5, driven by superior current form and standings position.** In the ongoing Season 18, Alter Ego sits mid-table with a positive record (recently around 3-2 in matches) after wins over DEWA United and EVOS, while Geek Fam remains winless at 0-6 with the league's worst game differential. Geek Fam's recent 0-2 losses to DEWA and RRQ highlight ongoing struggles, compounded by a late-August roster shakeup that promoted Frenzyy from their junior squad and adjusted roles for Audytzy and Asune. Alter Ego has shown better consistency and adaptability in drafts and rotations this season, building on a 7-9 finish in Season 17 (where Geek Fam ended 8-8). Historical matchups between the sides have been competitive, but Alter Ego has often held advantages in head-to-head series during tight mid-table battles. Key upcoming variables include how quickly Geek Fam integrates its roster changes and whether Alter Ego maintains momentum without major injuries or meta shifts. The BO3 format rewards the side that secures early map control and avoids prolonged inconsistencies.
