The 2026-27 NB I campaign remains in its opening phase after eight rounds, with average goals per match around 3.3 and only 36% of fixtures producing at least one clean sheet. This parity across the 12-team field leaves every side with realistic scope to finish atop the shutout table, reflected in the even trader consensus. Ferencváros has posted the strongest early defensive numbers with three clean sheets in six matches, while Puskás Akadémia, Vasas, and Győri ETO sit close behind on two apiece. No club has established sustained dominance in back-line organization or goalkeeper form, and schedule congestion plus potential rotation in European qualifiers could further flatten the race. Historical patterns show title contenders often lead clean-sheet tallies, yet the current spread of results and modest sample size keep implied probabilities tightly bunched with no clear frontrunner.
