The 2026 Liga AUF Uruguaya remains tightly contested for the most clean sheets, with Liverpool FC Montevideo leading at 13 after roughly 28 matches, followed closely by Racing Club de Montevideo (12), Deportivo Maldonado and Montevideo Wanderers (11 each), and Peñarol plus Central Español (10 each). Multiple sides have posted comparable defensive records through the Apertura, Intermedio, and early Clausura, where low-scoring draws and organized backlines have been common across the league. Mid-table and lower-placed clubs continue to feature in the hunt due to favorable remaining schedules and inconsistent attacking outputs from opponents, while top sides like Peñarol and Nacional have not pulled away defensively. This parity, combined with roughly 10-12 fixtures still to play for most teams before December, underpins the narrow spread in trader-implied probabilities.
