**Strong regional form and recent Masters results position teams like 100 Thieves, Paper Rex, and Nongshim RedForce as frontrunners to claim a 2026 international title.** Americas squads benefited from consistent VCT Stage 2 performances and points accumulation, with 100 Thieves securing the Esports World Cup crown earlier in the year. Pacific representatives such as Paper Rex and Nongshim RedForce demonstrated deep runs and adaptability across Masters Santiago and London, where Nongshim claimed the first Ascension-team international trophy and Leviatán completed a lower-bracket surge. China’s four qualified sides (TYLOO, JD Gaming, EDward Gaming, XLG) gain home advantage at the upcoming Champions in Shanghai, while EMEA squads like Karmine Corp and Vitality advanced via Stage 2 results. Roster adjustments, including last-minute changes at Team Liquid, and the double-elimination bracket format add volatility heading into the September 24–October 18 event.
