This market will resolve according to the next club or national team for which Pep Guardiola is officially appointed as manager or head coach, following his departure from Manchester City at the end of the 2025-26 season. Only an appointment as manager or head coach of a senior men's club or national team counts. Non-coaching roles do not count, including his current role as a Global Ambassador for City Football Group, and any sporting director, technical director, advisory, ambassadorial or ownership position. An official announcement by the club or national association before this market's close date will immediately resolve this market to the corresponding option. If Pep Guardiola has not been officially appointed as a manager or head coach by July 1, 2028, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source will be official announcements from the appointing club or national association. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**Pep Guardiola departed Manchester City at the end of the 2025-26 season after a decade in charge, winning 20 major trophies and establishing the club as a dominant force in the Premier League and Europe.** His contract had run until 2027, but he confirmed the exit in May 2026, citing that it was “his time” after an exhaustive spell, and transitioned into a global ambassador role with the City Football Group while taking an extended break from coaching. As of September 2026, Guardiola remains without a club or national team appointment, with his agent stating he will not manage any side this season. Speculation has included brief interest from Italy’s federation (which did not progress) and a denied link to Trabzonspor in Turkey alongside Mohamed Salah. Traders view the field as wide open, with implied probabilities tightly clustered because no destination has emerged as a frontrunner. Key dynamics include Guardiola’s history of sabbaticals after long tenures, his expressed interest in international management, and the appeal of returning to former clubs (Barcelona, Bayern Munich) or taking high-profile roles at PSG, Real Madrid, or major national teams (England, Spain, Brazil, Argentina). The absence of confirmed plans or imminent moves keeps the market competitive, reflecting the “wisdom of crowds” pricing in multiple plausible paths while acknowledging the inherent uncertainty of his next step.
