Stephen Bunting enters the Australian Darts Masters first-round matchup as the clear favorite at 67.5% implied probability, reflecting his PDC world ranking near the top ten and consistent elite-level results. The 2026 BetMGM Premier League season featured multiple nightly wins for Bunting, including strong averages above 100, while his checkout consistency and major-event pedigree provide a significant edge over Mal Cuming. Cuming, an Australian regional player stepping in as a late replacement, primarily competes in WDF and DPA events with limited exposure against top PDC opponents, as shown by prior heavy defeats in similar World Series ties. No injury concerns affect either player, leaving Bunting’s experience and form as the primary drivers of current trader consensus on this surface.
