**James Wade enters the Australian Masters round of 16 against Tim Pusey as the clear favorite at 72% implied probability, driven by his elite PDC ranking (Order of Merit #6), extensive televised experience, and stronger recent World Series form.** The 43-year-old left-hander ("The Machine") reached the New Zealand Masters semifinals just days earlier, defeating Josh Rock 6-4 with a 95 average before falling to Jonny Clayton, and has posted consistent averages above 95 in prior 2026 World Series outings while maintaining strong checkout rates. Pusey, a 33-year-old Australian right-hander, excels on domestic ADA and DPA tours with multiple titles but has minimal success against top PDC competition, exiting the 2026 World Championship in the first round 0-3. The matchup favors Wade's proven set-play consistency and higher three-dart averages over Pusey's solid but lower-level scoring. No injury concerns are reported for either player ahead of the Wollongong match. Trader sentiment reflects Wade's substantial experience edge and recent momentum in the series rather than any guaranteed outcome.
