This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by the Hong Kong Observatory in degrees Celsius on 22 Jul '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from the Hong Kong Observatory, specifically the "Absolute Daily Min (deg. C)" the specified date once information is finalized in the relevant "Daily Extract", available here: https://www.weather.gov.hk/en/cis/climat.htm This market can not resolve until data for this date has been published. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures in Celsius to one decimal place (eg, 9.1°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is initially published for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.July's subtropical climate in Hong Kong typically produces minimum temperatures of 26–28°C, driven by high humidity, weak nighttime radiative cooling under cloudy or rainy conditions, and the urban heat island effect from dense development. Official seasonal outlooks from the Hong Kong Observatory indicate normal to above-normal temperatures for July–September 2026 amid ongoing background warming, while short-range model guidance for July 22 points to overnight lows near 27–28°C with possible light showers or variable winds that could modestly suppress or elevate readings. Trader consensus clusters on 27–28°C because these align with both climatological baselines and the latest deterministic and ensemble forecasts, though genuine uncertainty remains from rapid changes in cloud cover, precipitation timing, or localized sea breezes that can shift the daily minimum by 1–2°C within the final 48 hours. Upcoming Hong Kong Observatory updates and refined model runs will likely refine these probabilities before resolution.
