The formal sale process for the Seattle Seahawks, initiated by the Paul G. Allen Estate in February 2026 following the team's Super Bowl LX victory, has created a wide-open bidding environment expected to extend through the 2026 offseason before NFL owner approval. Trader consensus reflects Jeff Bezos's leading position at 24.5% due to his longstanding Seattle roots through Amazon's headquarters, substantial net worth enabling an estimated $8-11 billion valuation, and prior interest in NFL franchises. Lower probabilities for figures like Tim Cook at 5.7% or LeBron James at 3.5% stem from comparatively weaker local ties, varying levels of public interest in ownership, and the need for alignment with the estate's philanthropic directives. Other contenders face barriers around league ratification and competitive group bids from tech and sports investors.
