Bulgaria’s hosting of the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest, following Dara’s dominant 2026 victory with “Bangaranga,” anchors early trader focus on participant confirmations. As of mid-June 2026, nine broadcasters have signaled intent, including returning North Macedonia after a multi-year absence, plus Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Luxembourg, San Marino, and Switzerland—the latter two confirming recently and opening song submissions. Broader participation remains fluid, with expected returns from most active EBU members offset by uncertainties around boycotts, EBU evaluations, and potential debuts like Slovakia or Kosovo. Host-city bidding in Bulgaria, due for resolution by late July, and the rollout of national finals such as Dansk Melodi Grand Prix and Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu in early 2027 represent key near-term catalysts that could shift momentum.
